1. Is there some independent place/site we could refer people to verify or document the non-profit status of Windego? Tax donation/fraud issues are such sticky wickets especially for business/corporate contributors to non-profits. This seems especially of concern to people because of the apparent tie of WPS to a local politician.
2. We are unable to address issues regarding Forum post 3-3-07 "Abandoned Project": The Windego Park Society restoration of a schoolhouse in St. Francis. The sign out front has a completion date several years past due (fall of 2003). Are you aware of this project? Do you have a current estimate of completion? Do you anticipate any significant funds from it?
"Thank you in advance for any assistance you may be able to provide."
The Forum has not received a reply to date. Maybe one of the regular newspapers monitoring the Anoka City Forum would get better results:
President Erik Skogquist: firstname.lastname@example.org
Boardmember Charlie Thompson: email@example.com
Update 7-08: President Skogquist reported that (five years after the hoped for completion date) the schoolhouse is now on the market. It is a one bedroom with unfinished basement/ 900 sq. ft. It sounds quite charming.
For further research, back stories and commentary see Forum's category "Windego Park Society".
Note: We were convinced for some reason that "Charlie" was a cat that lived with Erik and Manda May.
Now we have reason to believe he is a boy. . . a real live boy.
With an email address and a fair amount of artistic talent.
Once again proving that 'Assumption is the Lowest form of Knowledge.'
